The South Crofty Collection is a unique range of Jewellery and Gifts. Our Cornish Tin Jewellery and gifts have been hand produced by our Craftsman here at Wheal Jane, using Genuine Cornish Tin from South Crofty and reserved exclusively for use in this Collection. It provides a rare opportunity to give and receive Cornish Tin Gifts using Tin Mined from South Crofty,the last operating Tin Mine in Cornwall, prior to it's closure in 1998. We have recently added to our jewellery and gifts to include exclusive Tin and Diamond jewellery and cufflinks, wooden corporate gifts with cornish tin castings and new photo frames and boxes, again with our tin castings. All new jewellery and gifts will be available to buy via our website.
We also have a range of wonderful handmade jewellery and gifts, handpicked by ourselves for their unique design, style and excellent Quality. Most of these items have been handmade or handcrafted by the designers themselves. This has now given us the opportunity to offer gift ideas for the 1st (paper) wedding anniversary, 10th (Tin) wedding anniversary and 25th (silver) wedding anniversary. Christening Gifts
Our Christening gifts are a selection of traditional cornish gifts made by South Crofty Collection, and a range of unique and beautiful gifts from various designers across the UK.
Our Cornish Tin Birthstone spoon is based on an old design incorporating the Cornish Arms.
The design actually features two spoons, a sugar spoon and on the back of the handle a salt spoon used in the days when salt was a precious commodity.
We also have a range of Tin Crosses of various designs, the most popular being the Cardinham head and small Celtic knot cross.
We also have a range of Pewter items, the Christening Tokens are designed and handmade by Multiply design, a small family run business. The Boy and Girl Frames and christening box are designed and handmade by Lancaster and Gibbings, another small business based in Devon.
The Christening cup, small cetic box and small Quash are all made by Edwin Blyde from Sheffield Pewter.
We also have a wonderful handmade Christening card made using a pewter token which is a lovely keepsake for the child.

Spirit Of Cornwall Cornish Mining Coins
As Cornwall entered the 21st Century, it did so without one of its' oldest and most unique industries.
The pioneering efforts of thousands of Cornish miners, engineers and other innovators associated with every aspect of mining, have, over several millennia, placed Cornwall's stamp firmly on this unique industry. The Cornish have made hard rock mining their own and Cornwall has provided in abundance, the metals and minerals to satisfy their quest to supply society's needs for these basic raw materials which have fundamentally changed the world and the way of life for millions of people.
To celebrate the achievements of the industry, the South Crofty Collection has produced a unique collection of five coins, The Cornish Mining Collection.
The collection combines Cornwall's two most historically important metals, tin and copper. There are four coins in Cornish tin from three different sources and one in Cornish copper. All have individual history and authentication. Two different traditional methods of production have been used, hand casting and die striking. The coins represent seven hundred years of the industry, from the Seal of the 1305 Edward 1 Stannary Charter, through the 18th Century copper half-pennies and the 19th Century pennies, produced by the most successful mines, mining families and adventurers.
