The Unravellers

The Unravellers, by Tracey Morley, is a Children’s mystery book ideal for children of 5 years old and above.
It tells the tale of 2 young children, Danny and her younger Brother Sam, arriving in the lifeless Cornish village of Travin Cove with little more than a letter from their Granddad and an old brass key. They are on a secret mission to hunt for a mysterious object discovered by their Granddad many years before. This object will somehow bring Travin Cove back to life.

The letter and the key are the only clues Danny and Sam have and when the key goes missing; they are plunged into the weird and wonderful world of the Beachcombers, small pebble like creatures who live in the caves on a Cornish beach. The Children and the Beachcombers must solve the cryptic riddles and prophecies of Wiseweed, leader of the Beachcombers, to unravel the Mystery.

 The Children and the Beachcombers travel through a land inhabited by Clodhoppers (humans) and Black Dragons before coming face to face with the hideous Shagpile.
This is a wondrous book, full of mystery and intrigue, leading you into a world of fantasy with the little pebble people. You will never see a beach trip in the same light again.......

We have set out on a new venture ourselves, to make a set of Cornish Tin figurines to complement this wonderful book. We are over the moon with our first 2 figurines, Wiseweed, the King of the Beachcombers and Pearlshine, his Queen. They are exact replicas from pictures drawn by Kevin Morley, the illustrator and Husband of the Author, and are already a hit with ourselves and our stockists. We will make a new figurine each year until we have a set of 5, including the hideous Shagpile.
This is a great gift that will continue for years to come and a wonderful Cornish keepsake that can be passed on to new generations.
