Every item we produce is issued with a certificate of authentication explaining the origin of our tin and and brief history of Cornish tin mining.

Although no tin is being mined in Cornwall these days, we are proud to hold the very last reserves of tin ore extracted from the world famous South Crofty Mine just prior to its closure in 1998. This valuable tin ore continues to be smelted on an ongoing basis to meet the needs of the Collection.

Every item is handcrafted in our workshops near Wadebridge in Cornwall, and we still use many of the tools and procedures established when the Collection was launched in 1988.

The tin we use is pure, not mixed with other metals and taken from the South Crofty mine... your own little piece of Cornwall.
